Terms of Service

Last updated: 15 July 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all services offered by Lesan Ul Arab Center for Teaching Arabic to Non-Arabs ("Lesan Ul Arab", "the institute", "we", "us", "our"), operating from 18 Al Sheimy St., 10th District, Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt, accredited by Egypt's Ministry of Education (License No. 268/2004).

By enrolling in a course, purchasing materials, or otherwise using our services, you ("the student", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services offered

Lesan Ul Arab provides:

  • On-campus Arabic language courses at our Cairo institute
  • Live one-to-one and small-group online Arabic classes delivered via Microsoft Teams
  • The Arabic Teacher Training program and specialised programs
  • Study materials and books published or approved by the institute
  • Placement testing, certificates, and transcript issuance

3. Enrolment and placement

To enrol in a program, students must complete our booking process, submit a valid form of identification (passport for international students), and complete a placement test where applicable. The institute reserves the right to reject enrolments or reassign levels based on assessment results.

4. Payment

Payments for online courses are processed through Paddle, our merchant of record, and are accepted via credit card, debit card, and other methods supported by Paddle. On-campus fees may also be paid in person at the institute.

Fees are charged in the currency displayed at checkout and are inclusive of any applicable taxes calculated by Paddle at the point of sale. Minimum enrolment for online programs is 20 hours per month unless otherwise stated for a specific program.

Registration fees, once paid, are non-refundable.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Our refund policy is set out in full at lesanularab.com/refund. By enrolling, you agree to be bound by that policy in addition to these Terms.

6. Attendance and conduct

Students are expected to attend scheduled lessons punctually, complete assigned work, and treat teachers, staff, and fellow students with respect. The institute may suspend or terminate the enrolment of any student whose conduct is disruptive, harmful, or otherwise incompatible with the learning environment. In such cases, no refund is issued for lessons already delivered.

The full online attendance and absence rules are set out in the Online Study Policy.

7. Certificates and accreditation

On successful completion of the requirements for a given program, students receive an institute certificate. Certain programs, including the 16-level General Arabic diploma and the Arabic Teacher Training program, are additionally accredited by Egypt's Ministry of Education under License No. 268/2004. The institute's own certificate is issued free of charge; government certificate fees, where they apply, are the responsibility of the student.

8. Intellectual property

All curricula, teaching materials, recorded lessons, printed and digital books, and other content produced by the institute remain the intellectual property of Lesan Ul Arab. Students are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use these materials for the purposes of their own study. Reproduction, resale, or public distribution of institute materials is prohibited without written permission.

9. Visa, travel, and accommodation

The institute does not provide visa services. International students are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any visas or permits required to reside in Egypt for the duration of their studies. Accommodation help, including the institute's own student housing (Lesanularab Dorms), is offered on a best-effort basis and is not part of the tuition contract.

10. Third-party services

Certain services are provided by third parties on our behalf, including payment processing (Paddle), online lesson delivery (Microsoft Teams), and email communication. Your use of those services is also subject to the terms of the respective providers. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by third-party providers, though we will make reasonable efforts to compensate students for lost lesson time caused by an outage on the institute's side (see the Online Study Policy).

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the institute's total liability to any student for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the services is limited to the fees paid by that student to the institute in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. The institute is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services or applicable law. The current version, with the last-updated date, is always available at lesanularab.com/terms. Material changes will be announced to enrolled students by email.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent Egyptian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply in the student's country of residence.
